Smoke Protection by Sprinklered Fire
While sprinklers are probably the most effective fire protection devices ever developed, successful sprinkler fire suppression often results in the continued production of heat and smoke. Numerous sprinklered fire tests have been conducted at laboratories throughout the world, but the tests described below were selected to provide an idea of the amounts of smoke that can be produced by sprinklered fires. These clips were provided to us courtesy of Dr. John H. Klote, Fire and Smoke Consultant.
